Scottish Composer Directory 2025

What is it?

The Scottish Composer Directory is a document that can be shared which includes work and contact details for all of Scotland’s composers. There are lots of events and times when being able to share a document that shows what is going on in Scotland would be really useful, so the intention is to create a Directory that can be shared with programmers and other relevant professionals within the sector in order to give a broad picture of the scene here in Scotland. Most people already have their own websites or profiles on the New Music Scotland or Scottish Music Centre sites, but having one place where they are all available makes life much easier for programmers. This directory will be open source in many ways – a single page PDF created by each composer with a biography, some basic information, and which can direct people to their website, playlist, publisher, agent or contact details.


How will it work?

There’s a form below which will automatically generate a single page PDF for your entry. It can direct people towards your own website, your NMS or SMC profile page, a playlist, your agent or publisher (should you have one) and give your preferred contact option. There is space for a short biography, which can contain a link to a longer one on your own website or profile. Prompts should appear if you hover your cursor over the field. The directory will be updated every year, but if you would like to update something at any point then please email andy@artmusicscotland.org. Please add a work contact option, rather than your personal email or phone number.
